Life’s Diversified and Complex Thought Patterns
I don’t know. It seems to me that the more I strive toward a higher level of consciousness, the more I actually wish to regress. Each and every day I contemplate, study and absorb. This leads to diversified and complex thought patterns. The foundations of these these thoughts are simple enough for they are built upon the tangible ~ ~ what I see, hear, smell and feel. The sensory organs are perfect conduits for all the electricity that flows within all of us. In turn, this allows for a magnificent, perplexing and at times consuming thought process. Well, at least for me anyway.
Equal Amounts Beauty and Devastation
I can see beauty and devastation equally. I am amazed by the former and confounded by the latter. I am then left to ponder each attribute individually. Must both exist simultaneously for each to survive? Does there need to be pain so joy can find its place? Life vs. death, love vs. hate and good vs. evil — all a tug of war with each faction struggling for dominance. These struggles are not unique to our little blue planet inhabited by our self-proclaimed intelligent species. Celestial bodies live and die daily. Why? Why is it that for every good thing (life and the beauty that comes with it), there is an equally horrible thing (pain, devastation and death)?
The Atrocities Must Exist
At this moment in time, versus times past, is the species known as human more or less kind to one another? Would we say we are more or less compassionate, understanding, kind and loving? Think about this for a moment. Historical records, if they are to be believed, reveal that human kind has notoriously and brutally attempted to destroy itself over and over again. This is both on an individual and (particularly recently) a global level. Why? Power, wealth, territory, resources, sheer greed? Well, yes, but going back to the very fabric of all universal existence, these atrocities must exist. They must for the beautiful things such as tenderness, compassion, kindness, peace, tranquility and of course love to exist.
Life is Fleeting
I personally would love to meet the entity who made these rules. Like so many great thinkers and philosophers who have come and gone, I just want to understand. Life. Whether it be a celestial body that manages to exist for millions of years or the mayfly that has just 24 hours to live out its life, one thing is for certain and that life is fleeting. Maybe that’s the point entirely. Whether referring to the ten-million year old celestial object or the twenty-four hour old mayfly, the blessing of life is bestowed as a gift riddled with uncertainty. Maybe there are no rules? I don’t know. It’s all so fascinating yet terrifying. I’ll most likely leave this planet not understanding. With that said, today, tomorrow and particularly during those last moments of my mortal existence, I can rest soundly basking in the knowledge that I was blessed enough to be given life.
I want to thank you all for reading this post. As always, I wish to thank and welcome most sincerely all subscribers old and new. I feel so blessed when anyone reads my words so thank you.
