#1 Dream

“What are you doing?!” I exclaimed. The cluttered storage room was being emptied and with the lack of any ideas of what to do with the junk, one person decided it was best to burn it all. The problem was there were no barrels or any sort of receptacle that allowed such a burning. What does one do in that situation? Start a fire in the middle of the floor of course! “Well, most of this wood is useless so I am breaking it up and burning it.” “In the middle of the floor?!” “There was nowhere else.” “Let’s see if we can find a barrel or something.”

Those that were meant to be helping with this cleaning project were quickly becoming distracted. The task was clear, this storage room had to be cleaned and transformed into a living space. I kept eyeing the pool table in the middle of the room and the aspiring pyromaniac started arranging the balls as if reading my mind that it was time for a game. “No!” came another voice from somewhere on the floor – the voice of reason. “I will see if I can find a barrel to start the fire so we can make some headway.” Out the door he went.

I opted against the game of pool much to the dismay of fire starter. Then, the easily identifiable first line of Crimson and Clover rang out — Ah, now I don’t hardly know her. I grabbed one of the microphones from the old dusty karaoke machine and sang along.
